Welcome to my website, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by.  I hope you will find the information here helpful in getting to know me and how I will work to represent your interests on the Dryden Town Board

My family and I moved to Dryden in 1989 and our youngest daughter Tricia graduated from Dryden high School in 1993.  That same year our daughter Jean came home from her service in the Navy with her family.  Both of our daughters remain in Dryden and all six of our grandchildren attend Dryden schools.   I believe Dryden is a wonderful community to live in and raise a family.

My husband Jim, joined the Dryden Fire Department soon after we moved to Dryden and I joined shortly thereafter in 1992. As a volunteer for 14 years, I served as Secretary, EMS Captain and Asst EMS Chief. My two son-in-laws, husband and youngest daughter are all currently members of DFD.  Although I left the fire department I have continued to serve my community as the Sunday School and VBS Director for our church, Grace Episcopal in Cortland.

I have been employed at Cornell University in Human Resources since 1990 working first for the Library and now in Research.  While working at Cornell I joined Joan Portzline Real Estate in 1995 working part-time and served as the Office Manager and Sales Agent for over ten years.  During this time I also attended TC3 to complete my Associates Degree and then went on to Empire State College and received my Bachelors degree in Human Resources in 2006.

I currently serve as President of the Society of Human Resource Management of Tompkins County (SHRMTC) and have served on their board for over eight years.  I also serve as Division Deputy for the United Way at Cornell and have served in this capacity for eight years.

I believe in serving the community I live and work in and hope you believe that I am the best person to represent you on the Town Board.
